Helikon - Waterproof Jacket Chinook - 2.5L Membrane - DWR - Dark Green - KU-KCH-PO-2U

The Chinook jacket, designed in a military style and tailored for operations with gear in rainy conditions, manufactured by Helikon. It features a 2.5-layer construction, with a polyurethane membrane sandwiched between two layers of polyester. Additionally, the outer layer is treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellency) coating. This solution ensures water resistance up to 20,000 mm water column and breathability of up to 20,000 g/m²/24h.

The jacket’s main zipper ends with a high stand-up collar that fully covers the neck. Additionally, the hood can be cinched with a drawstring, minimizing the impact of adverse weather conditions on the head. The cuffs and waist can be adjusted to prevent them from slipping out of place, thereby protecting your hands from precipitation.

The Durable Water Repellency (DWR) coating is PFC-free and may wear off over time. Therefore, it is important to remember to regularly re-waterproof the outer layer. The jacket can be quickly folded into the hood, creating a compact bundle that fits easily into a hiking backpack.

A total of four pockets are available. Two angled front pockets with straps covering the zipper and two on the shoulders with Velcro panels for attaching patches. An additional ventilation system in the form of a zippered panel is located under the arms, allowing for greater airflow to this area of the body.
