The Holosun Micro Red Dot HE509-RD Solar Powered with ACSS Vulcan is a compact pistol collimator with Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake battery saving system and innovative ACSS Vulcan sighting reticle. With its compact size, enclosed design and light weight, it is ideal as a collimator for sport and combat shooting.
The HE509-RD features a new horizontal button layout, which according to most users is more comfortable and user-friendly. This collimator is also equipped with Lock Mode, which, when activated, disables the operation of the buttons, preventing accidental changes to the sight settings.
The body of the Micro Red Dot HE509-RD collimator is made of lightweight and durable aluminum, using a precision milling method. The device is equipped with a tray that slides out to the side to allow easy replacement of batteries in the field, without removing them from the weapon. Mounting of the collimator on the gun is done using a steel plate, compatible with the MOS mounting standard. The collimator's closed design provides greater resistance to mechanical damage and dirt.
In order to achieve high image quality, the HE509-RD collimator uses lenses coated with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings, which ensure high light transmission and a clear and sharp image without parallax error.
The Holosun HE509-RD pistol collimator uses an innovative targeting solution in the form of the ACSS Vulcan system: this is a unique targeting system that revolutionizes the way collimators are used. Instead of the traditional red dot, the system uses a chevron (inverted V) mark, which allows quick target tracking and precise shooting at longer distances. The chevron mark is supported by a large circle with an option to turn it off - the edges of the lens show the outline of the circle, which helps to apply corrections and return to the target.

The Holosun HE509-RD collimator with ACSS reticle does not have the same base as the 509T (models without ACSS reticle), which means it is not compatible with the mounting plates dedicated to the Holosun 509T.
The lens on my collimator is skewed, should it be?
Yes, for closed collimators, in which the emitter is placed at 4 o'clock, the lens must be skewed to adequately reflect the light toward the user's eyes.
