A practical NOMAD 03 headlamp from Mactronic with a Cree XPL LED, capable of generating a light output of up to 340 lm. In addition to the main LED, the user has a red LED at their disposal, which can be used for signaling. Additionally, the flashlight comes with RGB filters in the form of textured polymer plates. Each light source has its own separate control button.
The flashlight remembers the last mode used and has a switch lock, activated by pressing both buttons for 3 seconds when the flashlight is off. This mode is useful when carrying the flashlight in a backpack or bag, to prevent it from turning on if a button is accidentally pressed. A small indicator in the corner of the flashlight housing shows the battery status with a green, red, or flashing red dot.
The casing is made of lightweight polymer, and the headband is lined with two silicone tracks on the inside. The device meets the IP64 waterproof rating and has been tested for resistance to falls from a height of one meter. The flashlight mount is compatible with the MOLLE/PALS system, allowing it to be attached to a helmet or MOLLE straps on a tactical vest.
