Defender Mk2 shirt in PolyCo Ripstop fabric from Helikon. The second generation features new fabric and redesigned pockets. The PolyCo blend used in the Defender Mk2 contains a majority of cotton with the addition of polyester and elastane allowed the fabric to retain its basic properties like quick moisture wicking and breathability.

The short-sleeve version has a relatively low profile, which will allow for seamless use with tactical vests or IWB-type holsters when needed. When the wearer does not need to carry out various activities, he has a loop built into the flap of the buttonholes for attaching an eyeglass earpiece. In addition, the collar is stiffened which minimizes rolling and thus creasing of the material.

The shirt has two all-panel pockets, which together provide four pockets, two opening from the top, fastened with Velcro, and two closed with zippers with access from the side. These are large enough to hold rectangular or square items like a wallet or notebook. In addition, access to the zippered pockets is facilitated by straps hooked into the handle.
