The second generation of the compact Ratel Mk2 military backpack from Helikon. It is also a popular choice among those spending time in the field on shorter trips of up to two days. The new generation of the Ratel features a redesigned pocket layout, including an organizer in the lower external pocket. Additional MOLLE/PALS straps allow for more precise customization of the backpack with accessory pockets and pouches.

The Ratel Mk2 is made entirely of high-strength Cordura nylon. The main compartment is closed with a two-way YKK zipper. Inside the main compartment, there is a dedicated space for a hydration bladder, and at the top, a covered outlet for the tube. On the front of the backpack, there are two external pockets, one upper and one lower. The lower pocket is equipped with organizers and a compartment to help sort your gear.

On the side panels, there are four compression straps secured with sturdy Woojin buckles. The upper section features a Velcro panel for customizing the backpack. The back panel has a contoured lining that ensures proper ventilation and enhances comfort. The chest and hip straps help distribute the weight of the gear over a larger area of the body. A reinforced carrying handle is located at the top.
