M40 Air Gun
KWC M40 is a pneumatic version of a sidearm made
for the military and law enforcement as a part of American U.S. Homeland
Defense program.
The
replica was made from polymer which makes the air gun durable and very
handy. Metal parts include internal elements and the magazine
aiming to prolong the lifetime and increase precision.
M40 is
powered by a 12 g CO2 capsule installed in the magazine in such a way
that it is possible to rapidly change it for another. Due to the implemented
gas system the BBs are fired with high muzzle velocity of around 120 m/sec.
The implementation of newest solutions in terms of valve construction has
allowed for very efficient gas distribution, which results in fantastic
performance and economical gas consumption when shooting (around 250).
The
air gun fires steel 4.5mm BBs. The magazine can hold up to 21 BBs. This
prolongs the time spent on firing and at the same time reduces the need for
frequent reloading. The gas power source combined with the type of ammunition
allows for achieving exceptional precision even on a distance of several
meters.
On the
left side of the pistol, right above the thumb rest spot, is an easy-to-use
trigger safety, which prevents accidental discharge.
Furthermore,
the pistol has a 22 mm mounting rail, to which a tactical flashlight or
a laser sight can be attached. Fixed iron sights consist of the front and rear
sights. Both feature white dots that imitate high-contrast tritium sights -
they make aiming easier in limited visibility conditions by considerably
speeding it up.
