The DLG-147 buttstock adapter is designed to be mounted on AK-47 and AK-74 rifles, replacing the factory stock mount. It allows Mil-Spec standard buttstocks, used in AR platforms, to be mounted and folded sideways on compatible AK models.

The adapter's design features a side folding mechanism that allows the buttstock assembly to be folded along the bolt chamber. This solution facilitates the transport and carrying of the rifle, especially in confined spaces. The adapter maintains the axial alignment of the buttstock relative to the barrel, which is important for proper ergonomics and stability of the configuration.

The adapter provides a permanent connection to the rear of the bolt chamber and does not require any permanent interference with the rifle's design other than the removal of the factory buttstock assembly. It allows for the modernization of the AK platform without any design modifications.
