Helios SBM boots are MILSPEC standard tactical footwear. The upper made of perforated cowhide leather and textile layer increases breathability and durability. The inwardly contoured tongue reduces debris entry, and the upper padding protects the ankle from irritation and abrasion. Stitching is done with triple-twisted nylon thread, and lace loops are permanently woven into the shoe's construction.

The sole offers traction, slip resistance and insulation properties. Nylon reinforcement in the sole allows safe use in safety-controlled areas, and a thermoplastic toe tip protects against injury. The TruFit system allows the shoe's interior to precisely fit the shape of the foot, even with military socks. Two drainage holes on the midfoot promote ventilation.
