To activate the process, bend the lightstick with both hands until it cracks inside the vial, then shake it. This combines chemical substances that, using the phenomenon of luminescence, produce light of a certain color, depending on the dye. This phenomenon is so unique that it produces no heat during the entire process.
The chemical luminescence process can be slowed down by placing the lightstick in the freezer.
