A lightstick is a unique light source that does not
require batteries or fire. It is very light
and efficient.
Chemical lights can be used to mark
positions during a night hike, illuminate the immediate
surroundings, as an alarm signal, or as an emergency
light source.

To activate the glow, bend the stick with the thumbs
of both hands until the inner vial breaks,
then shake it. This combines the
chemical substances which, using the phenomenon
of luminescence, produce light of a specific color,
depending on the dye. This phenomenon is unique because
no heat is generated during the entire process.

The luminescence process in chemical lights can
be slowed down by placing the lightstick in the freezer.
This should allow the light to glow for up to two nights.

Glow time depends on the color:
-Blue 8 hours,
-Yellow 12 hours,
-Red 12 hours,
-White 8 hours,
-Green 12 hours
-Orange 12 hours
