The Hussar small arms flashlight with a maximum light strand output of up to 1050 lm from Mactronic. The flashlight uses the DSS Dual Source System, which allows it to operate with two CR123A batteries or an optional two 16340 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. The flashlight's body is made of aluminum and its surface is finished with anodization.
This translates into increased resistance to mechanical damage, and the use of a number of seals made it possible to meet the requirements of the IPX6 standard. Mounting on the Picatinny rail is done with the Swift Mount System SMS, similar in operation to the QD lever. The position of the flashlight can be adjusted at an extension angle when the lever is extended. The maximum illumination range is up to 250 meters.
The manufacturer estimates the potential operating time on a single type of power supply to about 3 hours in High mode with batteries and up to 2 h with rechargeable batteries. Regardless of the selected power supply, the flashlight is capable of generating a luminous flux of the full power of Boost mode. The flashlight is activated by a double-sided switch located on the back of the housing.
Pressing and holding the button will allow the device to operate until a finger is released from it, while toggling activates the fixed mode. The flashlight has a memory of the last selected mode in the case of High or Low. To switch modes between High and Low, press and hold one button, then switch between the two with the other button. Strobo mode is available as the second of the fixed modes.
