The Smuk is a high-quality ridgeline that connects the ends of the hammock to facilitate its setup, while allowing for optimal positioning and lying comfort by adjusting the degree of tension.

The essence of comfortable rest and accommodation in a hammock is its loose fit, which makes it possible to sleep in a Brazilian way – diagonally (this topic is described in detail in "How To Hang A Hammock"). Suspending a loose hammock requires a suitable suspension setup. Thanks to the ridgeline, adjustment is almost unnecessary – the appropriate level of slack is set only once.

The use of a ridgeline ensures that the hammock maintains the same shape with every subsequent setup – it will be just as comfortable regardless of the tension and the angle at which the suspension links are tilted.

The Smuk ridgeline set consists of:
- ridgeline – adjustable in the range 240-300 cm
- a hook securing the ridgeline from sliding off the hammock
- assembly and use instructions

The Smuk is made of Dyneema impregnated with a negligible weight (4 g/m) and very high strength (660 daN) using the rope method used in sailing and arboristics. The stitched bead protects against excessive shortening and damage to the ridgeline.

Assembly and adjustment of the ridgeline take only 3 minutes and it is suitable for every hammock which uses 4mm diameter cables for suspension. It is compatible with all models of Lesovik hammocks. To facilitate the task, we include an illustrated instruction in the set.

The new version of the Smuk ridgeline limits the number of mounting elements, making the ridgeline even faster to assemble, easier to operate, safer and lighter – ridgeline weight reduced by more than 50%!

During camping, the ridgeline works great as a rope for drying clothes, for hooking up handheld equipment, or hanging a flashlight.
