The K version of the P.ID series small arms flashlight from Holosun, created for use primarily on pistols. This model features an LED that generates a light output of up to 500 lumens and a luminosity of 6,500 candelas, with a much shorter design compared to the base P.ID, characterized by the alignment of the barrel and flashlight outlet. The flashlight's power source is a 16340 lithium-ion battery with a flattened plus.
The included 16340 type battery can be charged via the USB-C port located next to the top cover (+). Alternatively, the device can be powered via two CR123A batteries, which individually can allow an operating time of up to 1.5 hours. If necessary, access to the compartment for power supply, is possible after unscrewing the head. The P.ID K flashlight has an adjustable extension of the device, allowing it to be moved closer or further away from the trigger bail.
The 16340 battery allows up to 60 minutes of operation in high mode with 500 lm and 6500 cd light output. The flashlight is activated by a double-sided extended Paddle Switch located on the back of the housing. Pressing and holding the button will allow the light to illuminate until a finger is released from it, while toggling activates the fixed mode. The use of a symmetrical switch allows for comfortable operation for both right- and left-handed people.
The flashlight's body is made of 7075 aluminum and finished with an anodized finish. This translates into increased resistance to mechanical damage, and the use of a number of seals made it possible to meet the requirements of the IPX8 standard. Mounting on the Picatinny rail is done with a spring clip. Interchangeable adapters allow the flashlight to fit different makes and models of guns. The flashlight is compatible with holsters adapted for Streamlight TLR7 flashlights.
