The original became famous as one of the most iconic designs of the Wild West, prized for its top-break reloading mechanism and high reliability in field conditions.

The model is made primarily from metal, with the grip panels crafted from a wood-effect polymer.
The revolver is powered by a CO2 cartridge; the set includes 6 blank cartridges to enhance the realism of use. The Schofield features a single-action (SA) mechanism – the hammer must be cocked manually before each shot. Behind the hammer is a safety catch to prevent accidental discharge.
