Biohazard Samurai Edge Std. Mod. produced by the cult company Tokyo Marui will be quite a gratuette for every fan of the Resident Evil  universe(but not only!). Like most Tokyo Marui small arms replicas, the Samurai Edge is made predominantly of high quality polymer. The magazine is metal here, as well as the trigger and all manipulators (such as the safety). Both the shell and the lock of the pistol are made of polymer.

The linings have a comfortable, non-slip texture, they are partly made of polymer imitating wood, thus obtaining an interesting visual effect. On the lock as well as on the grip the striking S.T.A.R.S. RPD markings have been placed. The trigger mechanism works in the SA/DA  system (single action/double action) - which means that shooting is possible with a prior tightening of the cock (with the thumb or movement of the lock) - single action or with the so-called "self-tensioning". This means that shooting is possible with either a "self-tensioning" action, whereby the full length of the trigger is cocked and then released, resulting in a double action shot.

The rifle is equipped with a breech-blowback system - blow back. It causes the breech to retract with each shot, and locks the breech in the rear position after the last piece of ammunition has been fired. When a new full magazine is inserted, the breech lock must be released - exactly as in the fireable original.
