The Principle survival knife was designed by Gerber, a brand renowned for creating durable outdoor and survival gear. This model was designed for bushcraft, camping, and everyday use in the field. The full-tang construction, in which the blade tang extends the entire length of the handle, ensures high resistance to stress, making the knife suitable for the most demanding tasks.

The blade is made of 420HC stainless steel, valued for its good corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening, and cutting edge retention. The Drop Point profile and Scandinavian grind provide excellent cutting performance, facilitating precise woodworking and kindling preparation. An additional advantage is the blade spine, contoured at a 90° angle, which allows for effective spark generation when using a flint.

The ergonomic handle is made of a rubberized polymer, which provides a secure grip even in damp conditions and increases comfort during prolonged use. The handle features three holes that reduce the tool’s weight or can be used to thread a cord or lanyard through. The knife comes with a polymer sheath, allowing it to be carried on a belt or MOLLE-compatible gear.
