The Spitfire® military vest is a Plate Carrier type vest, meaning it has a place to carry ballistic plates, from Direct Action. The design of the vest takes into account streamlining within a low profile and the ability to quickly adjust equipment to the task at hand. Its high modularity, along with multiple standards, allows for the use of a wide range of accessories.

Thanks to the mounting straps, it allows for easy attachment of additional equipment such as magazine pouches, holsters, or first aid kits. The vest is made of laser-cut 500D Cordura, which has increased durability against damage and wear. The inside of the vest has been covered with softshell material, which does not chafe and increases comfort during frequent and intensive use.

Internal insert pockets hold ballistic plates securely in place. The cummerbund side belt allows for additional cargo holds, as well as side ballistic plates. The wide shoulder straps are equipped with Velcro points for ergonomic routing of an antenna from a radio or hydration system hose.

The vest has two polymer buckles and Velcro to which interchangeable chest panels can be attached. Most accessory mounting will be based on the MOLLE/PALS system densely located on each side of the vest. In addition, there are two Crye Precision AVS™ system zippers on the back. Side panels can be pulled over each other or kept tucked away. A reinforced handle on the back makes it easy to transport or perform other activities.
