Cold Steel - Survival Knife SRK - SK-5 - Black - 49LCKZ
The SRK Survival Rescue Knife from Cold Steel features revised blade characteristics compared to standard designs. The blade, which is over 15 cm long, has a shortened ricasso for maximum extension of the cutting edge. The Clip Point blade profile is one of the most common types and is also easier for less experienced users to handle due to its balanced weight.
Extremely hard SK-5 carbon steel was used for both the blade and its tang, as part of the Full Tang construction. The blade surfaces outside the cutting edge were coated with a matte Tuff-Ex finish, which protects the metal from corrosion. The handle is made of textured Kray-Ex polymer, which provides a secure grip even in harsh weather conditions. The grip is topped with a naturally derived hilt, which protects against fingers slipping forward onto the blade.
Included with the knife, the user receives a Secure-Ex polymer sheath, which, in addition to a basic attachment for a tactical belt, has vertical holes that allow it to be hooked up at other angles. When carried in the sheath, the knife can be secured by fastening it with a tension clasp at handle height. Closer to the foot is a hole through which a paracord or cord can be pulled.
