Cold Steel - Survival Knife SRK Compact - SK-5 - Black - 49LCKD
The SRK Survival Rescue Knife in a compact version from Cold Steel with revised blade characteristics compared to standard designs. The blade, which is over 12 cm in length, features a shortened undercut - ricasso, for maximum extension of the cutting edge. The Clip Point blade profile is one of the most common types, and is also easier to feel the weight for less experienced people.
Extremely hard SK-5 carbon steel was used to create the blade, as well as its shank, as part of the Full Tang construction. The heads outside the cutting edge were coated with a matte Tuff-Ex coating, which protects the metal from corrosion. The handle was made of textured Kray-Ex polymer, which is easy to grip even in harsh weather conditions. The grip has been topped with a naturally derived gut, which protects against overextending the fingers.
Included with the knife, the user receives a pouch made of Secure-Ex polymer, which, in addition to a basic attachment for a tactical belt, has vertical holes that allow it to be hooked up at other angles. Carried in the pouch, the knife can be secured by fastening it with a tension clasp at handle height. Closer to the foot is a hole through which a paracord or cord can be pulled.
